The parish church of St Roch (St John the Baptist) - Brochów

We are going to Brochów today!
On the photo you can see a unique kind of church. What's so special about it?
It's not only a place to pray in it. It was also used as a fortress! Look at the walls - they seem really hard to break. The church had been attacked many times, even during the world war, but the conservators took good care of it, so it looks unbreakable. :)

The information board. You can see some other places on the bottom-right corner - Brochów is a part of  a "Mazowsze's Gothic Pearls" - gathering some churches with the gothic-style architecture.

Now we're taking a walk around the building:

There are memorial stones everywhere. The place looks very safe, and calm.
If you like this kind of facts - the church was the place where Frideric Chopin was baptised. His parents and sister got married here.

And now let's go outside the church walls:

I envy the people who live there. :)
It's a nice place, full of space, and fresh air. I saw only one man (with a dog) on the way to the lake. There were 3 people in front of the church too, but there are just a few houses around, so I think it's always like that. Maybe during the Sundays it's more crowdy, because the church is open during that time. Even though I couldn't come in, I'm glad, that I visited the place during Saturday. I want to remember it as quiet and calm as it was. :)
